Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategy Consultant with 3 to 5 years of expertise in the Marine, Cruise, Shipping, or Yachting industry to join our esteemed strategy boutique in Paris. As a Strategy Consultant, you will collaborate with our diverse team of professionals, partnering with clients from the maritime sector to deliver strategic insights, drive business growth, and shape the future of the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Industry Analysis and Research: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of the Marine, Cruise, Shipping, and Yachting industry dynamics, including market trends, competitive landscapes, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and identify opportunities for our clients to gain a competitive edge.
  • Strategic Planning and Business Development: Work closely with clients to understand their goals, challenges, and aspirations. Develop strategic roadmaps, business plans, and growth strategies that align with clients’ objectives and market conditions. Identify new revenue streams, potential partnerships, and innovative business models to enhance clients’ market positioning.
  • Market Entry and Expansion: Assess market entry strategies for clients seeking to enter new geographical regions or launch new product lines. Evaluate market potential, competitive positioning, and customer preferences to develop market entry plans and expansion strategies. Conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments to guide clients’ decision-making processes.
  • Operational Excellence and Efficiency: Collaborate with clients to optimize operational processes, streamline supply chains, and enhance cost efficiencies. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Financial Analysis and Investment Evaluation: Conduct financial analysis, including financial modeling, investment valuation, and cost-benefit analyses. Evaluate investment opportunities, potential acquisitions, and capital allocation strategies for clients. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial performance, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Change Management and Transformation: Support clients in driving organizational change and transformation initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop change management strategies, manage resistance, and ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and coaching programs to enable smooth transition and adoption of new strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Understand clients’ needs, anticipate challenges, and provide tailored solutions that address their unique business requirements. Continuously engage with clients to identify opportunities for value creation and foster long-term partnerships.

Who we look for

  • Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or a related field, with a focus on the Marine, Cruise, Shipping, or Yachting industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Marine, Cruise, Shipping, or Yachting industry dynamics, trends, and challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems, develop strategic insights, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Solid financial acumen, including financial modeling, investment evaluation, and budgeting.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, business development, or market entry strategies within the Marine, Cruise, Shipping, or Yachting industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard analytical tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization tools).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in French is highly desirable. Additional language skills are a plus.
